Ok i posted about a month ago when i found burned wires that connect the stator to the rectifier on my 1993 mercury 40 hp outboard. According to the wiring diagram in my service manual i should have a 6 wire stator and right now my stator only has 4 wires 2 of which go. After looking at the wiring some more i think that i have the wrong stator. If not the structure will not work as it should be.
